Catalunya/Girona/Costa Brava holds a special place in my heart. During my time as an exchange student in Barcelona, I had the privilege of exploring the region with amazing friends who introduced me to its wonders. The culinary scene in Catalunya is absolutely phenomenal. In this area, culinary tourism was already a trend back then and has evolved tremendously since then. The variety of unique culinary experiences is truly outstanding! This region is the birthplace of both Cava and Vermouth, and I am eager for you to discover the up-and-coming wine regions of Priorat and Empordà!

Nestled between the mountains and the ocean, our chosen Country Cottage boasts an enviable location. With a wonderful outdoor dining area complete with a wood BBQ and charming string lights to complement our long table dinners, you’ll experience magical evenings. The cottage also offers a variety of amenities, including a badminton/volleyball court, a heated pool, foosball table, ping pong, pool table, two living rooms, and several outdoor spaces. There will be plenty to keep you entertained and relaxed during your stay. Now, let’s talk about the activities we are considering for our itinerary

Activities

We are excited to showcase Girona/Catalunya/Costa Brava local culture though unique and immersive experiences. Here are a few activities we are looking to include to our Epicureans Itinerary.

Kayak visit to a vineyard (yes, we will kayak to a vineyard -how cool is that!)
Scenic hike along the coastline to visit charming fisherman’s village for a delicious meal
Hands-on cooking class to learn the secrets of Catalunyan cuisine
Visit to an olive oil farm for a tasting experience
Workshop at a Cava winery - we will even make our own Cava!
Cheese-making workshop, unveiling the art of creating exquisite cheeses

Details

Your gourmet adventure includes:

Your accommodation at a the Luxurious Villa for 7 nights
Daily apero and 3 meals a day in local restaurants or at the Villa cooked by Anthony and/or our very own private Chef (1 or 2 lunches will be left to your discretions to allow for some private quality time)
Local transport in private coach with chauffeur
All visits, gourmet activities and tastings
Services from your personal hosts (Val & Anthony)
Assistance for your pre/post trip

Our Culinary Adventure will begin in Heraklion where there is an airport and cruise to arrive and depart from Barcelona. Our Villa is based near Girona about 45minutes away from Barcelona.
