Why Epicureans Co.

More Than a Travel Company

Some Journeys Begin with a Destination.

Ours began around a table.

Epicureans Co. didn't begin as a travel company.

Long before we welcomed guests to vineyards in Bordeaux, villas in Tuscany, or olive groves in Crete, we spent years bringing people together through exceptional food, thoughtfully chosen wines, and genuine hospitality.

What began as restaurants, wine tastings, and conversations across the table naturally evolved into something much larger.

Today, every Culinary Adventure we create reflects the same philosophy that has guided us from the beginning:
Travel slowly. Eat locally. Build genuine relationships.

Our Philosophy

What Hasn't Changed

Although our journey has taken us from a French bistro in the Canadian Rockies to historic châteaux, countryside villas and coastal villages throughout Europe...

One thing has remained constant.

We believe the best memories are made around a table.

Whether we're sharing dinner with Anthony's family in Bordeaux...

Gathering beneath olive trees in Crete...
Or enjoying lunch among the vineyards of Tuscany...

Our goal has never been to simply show you a destination.

It's to help you feel part of it.
Travel slowly.
Eat locally.

Build genuine relationships.

Leave every destination knowing the people—not just the places.

WHY OUR JOURNEYS FEEL DIFFERENT

Every Journey Begins Long Before You Arrive

People often ask us how we discover experiences that seem impossible to book.
The answer is simple.
We don't find them.
We build them.

Before we ever invite guests to join us, we spend years returning to each destination—sharing meals with local families, meeting artisans, discovering independent producers, and building friendships rooted in trust.
We don't create itineraries from supplier catalogues.

We create journeys from relationships.
That is why many of our experiences simply cannot be booked independently.

They're made possible by the people who have welcomed us into their homes, vineyards, kitchens, workshops, and lives—and who, in turn, welcome our guests as friends.

Milestones

Built One Table at a Time

2013

The Market Bistro

Our journey began with the opening of The Market Bistro, a French bistro in Canmore, Alberta.

More than a restaurant, it became a place where strangers became regulars, meals became memories, and we discovered that genuine hospitality has the power to bring people together.

2014

UnWined Boutique Liquor Store

Wanting to continue those conversations beyond the dinner table, we opened UnWined Boutique Liquor Store.

For more than a decade we introduced thousands of guests to remarkable wines, hosted tastings, welcomed winemakers, and deepened our appreciation for the stories behind every bottle.

2019

Closing One Chapter

After six unforgettable years, we sold The Market Bistro.

It wasn't the end of our hospitality journey.

It simply created space for the next chapter.

2021

Epicureans Co. Is Born

Years of travelling throughout Europe had given us something incredibly valuable.

Relationships. Friendships with winemakers. Families. Chefs.
Artisans.

People who had welcomed us into their homes and shared their traditions with us.
|
Epicureans Co. was founded with one simple idea: Introduce travellers to Europe through the people who call it home.

2022

Our First Culinary Adventure

We welcomed our first guests to Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion.

Returning to Anthony's home region, we introduced travellers not only to extraordinary wines, but to lifelong friendships, private estates, family traditions, and experiences that simply cannot be found on a
typical tour.

2023

Tuscany Joins the Collection

The success of Bordeaux inspired a second destination.

Villa life.
Long-table dinners.
Family wineries.
Fresh pasta.
The slower rhythm of rural Tuscany.

2024

Growing Across the Mediterranean

Catalunya and Crete became part of the Epicureans collection.

Two distinct cultures.
One philosophy.
Meet the people.
Learn their traditions.
Share their table.

2025

A Growing Community

We hosted six Culinary Adventures across Europe, welcoming more than 110 guests around our table.

Many returned.
Many brought friends.
Many became lifelong members of our growing Epicurean family.

2026

Going All In

The Algarve became our newest destination.

That same year, we made one of the biggest decisions of our professional lives. After more than a decade, we sold UnWined Boutique Liquor Store to dedicate ourselves entirely to Epicureans Co. Not because we were leaving hospitality. Because we had found the most meaningful way to live it.

2027

Looking Ahead

Provence joins our collection as our sixth destination.

With ten Culinary Adventures planned across Europe, our mission remains exactly the same:

Creating meaningful moments around extraordinary tables.

The Next Chapter

Every year our story continues to grow.
Not because we add more destinations.
But because we welcome more people to our table.
Some arrive as curious travellers.
Many leave as lifelong friends.

The next chapter is still being written.
We'd love for you to have a seat at our table.
